MEET ALLY corkhill

Ally deeply respects the power of connected, dynamic therapy, grounded in the belief that healing happens through relationships, within ourselves and with others.

My professional journey has taken me from inpatient mental health care to private practice where I work with children and adults, supporting people across the lifespan. I also work in the enriching space of providing education and supervision for other mental health professionals.

I’m guided by a trauma-informed and attachment-based lens, integrating the brain - body connection, because I believe this is where deep, lasting healing truly happens. I am an accredited EMDR Practitioner and an Advanced Clinical Resource Therapist and Trainer.

Alongside traditional, weekly or fortnightly therapy sessions, I also offer an EMDR Intensive Program, which is a focused, accelerated therapy option for clients wanting to work through trauma or stuck patterns in a shorter time frame. Ideal for those seeking deeper change with more flexibility, in a safe, faster way or people short of time on a regular basis, such as frontline or shift workers, or busy professionals. The EMDR intensive program consists of three x two-hour sessions, split over a 2-week period. Please reach out for further info costing, availability.

You’ll find me at the Yass Wellness Centre, and I also offer telehealth sessions, so support is accessible no matter where you are.

Therapy with me is connected, dynamic, and creative, always shaped around who you are and what you want to achieve.

I see therapy not just as a place for support when things feel like they are falling apart, but as a space to build something stronger, inside and out.

Resource Therapy

Parts work isn’t just a concept, it is a therapeutic pathway to lasting and meaningful change in the therapy and clinical space

Ally brings a deep passion for educating and empowering others to better understand their own inner worlds, while fostering compassion and insight into how these inner experiences shape not only our relationships but also the lives we lead — both personally and in the therapy/professional space.

The Resource Therapy Foundation Course is for Mental Health Professionals, who want to start using a parts work modality – Social Workers, Mental Health Nurses, Psychologists, Counsellors, Therapist/Psychotherapists, Youth Workers, Occupational Therapists, Creative arts therapists etc.

Resource Therapy, developed by professor Gordon Emmerson, is a theory of personality as well as a powerful, and stand-alone, psychodynamic therapy. The Theory of Resource Therapy acknowledges that we all have different parts, aspects or resources of our personality that are shaped by our experiences. These parts hold unique emotions, roles and behaviours that influence how we feel, function and relate to others.

training & Workshops

Within the foundation course you will be provided with a sturdy introduction to the resource therapy model, including the history, theory of personality/introduction to “parts” and applications in practice as well as learning about how Parts come into existence and how to work directly with parts. The foundation gives you an overview so that you can begin applying it immediately in your practice. The training includes both theory and is experiential in nature with practical components, so participants will leave with new skills, they can apply immediately in work and life, that they have already had the chance to practice.

Ally will be running a RT Foundation Course in October 2025! Please email or call with Expressions of Interest. Please check back and connect with me on Insta for other upcoming exciting training and professional development options throughout 2025.

Clinical Supervision

Supervision that nurtures your
passion, practice, and professional growth.

I am passionate about supporting fellow mental health professionals through clinical supervision - sharing knowledge, skills, and experience to help you feel supported, confident, and inspired in your work.

I believe in nurturing the heart of this vital profession, meeting people with understanding, compassion, and encouragement, so that we can stay afloat together and continue offering our best in the meaningful and often demanding work of mental health care.

My approach to supervision is collaborative, strengths-based, and reflective. Whether you are seeking guidance with clinical skills, professional growth, ethical challenges, or simply a safe space to process and recharge, supervision with me is a place where all parts of you as a practitioner are welcomed and valued.

Together, we will work on strengthening practice, sustaining passion, and ensure you feel supported as you continue making a difference in the lives of others.

Group Therapy Collaborations

At Nurturing Mind Therapy we are developing a range of group therapy experiences in collaboration with other practitioners. Ally is passionate about the power of groups to nurture connection. She believes that healing often happens through shared experience, where social connection becomes a gentle anchor, helping us feel safe, seen, and supported as we navigate life’s challenges. These groups bring together body-based practices, connection with nature, and parts-informed approaches to support emotional wellbeing in community. Upcoming offerings will include nature-based therapy groups for kids and holistic workshops for expectant mums. These group experiences offer a welcoming space to explore, restore, and nurture your inner strength and resilience. For more info, dates etc, please check back in and follow along on insta.
